 I got these for my mom for Christmas. She was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia last year after having multiple strokes which cost her her job my making her a liability (working in a jail & being unable to run anymore isn't so good). So she went into early retirement & for her, her life basically ended because she loved working. She always enjoyed crocheting & could knock out numerous hats every day with no problem. But after last year, she was lucky if she was able to make 1 or 2 hats every couple days, but she didn't want to give up. Her crocheting is what's been helping her with her mind (the stroke messed with her memory & head completely) & the Fibro has messed with her hands.

The metal hooks make her hands hurt after awhile & she has to stop & when she stops, she forgets her count & she gets frustrated. With these new hooks she's able to crochet a bit longer with less problems. She also absolutely loves the stitch markers. Every now & then she's been using different colored strings as stitch markers because she cants remember & at least with the string there, she'll remember. But now she can stop using the string & use those instead. When I gave her these she was really happy & I hope to give her more like these so she has the full set so she can continue crocheting without as much pain.
