So I've got a few pots and pans that have lost their rubber handles that protected your hands when you tried to pick them up after they've been sitting on the stove getting hot. Using a towel, pot holder or something similar is fine, but not really all that safe because it just doesn't feel like you can get a good grip on it & I'm always worried that I'm going to drop the pot or pan and spill whatever I'm cooking all over myself.

Now with this, it fits perfectly on most of my pots and pans handles that are missing their rubber handles so I can now finally get a good grip on them & not have that worry. It's got these little bumps on it so it's not completely smooth which makes it perfect.. If it was smooth, it would easily slide out of your hand; the little bumps ensure you can actually GRIP this thing without it sliding out of your hand. So if you have this on a heavy pot/pan (ie: cast iron), you wont have to worry so much. The heat resistant part of this is also really nice. Now, I will say this tho.. If you have the heat cranked up all the way to high for a long time, then you WILL feel the heat through it no matter what. But with your normal, average cooking, you wont.
