So, I've got super long and extremely THICK hair. My hair is about 4-5in from my bum. I'm also half Italian and I have the seriously THICK Italian hair. Numerous hair brushes and combs have died IN my hair before. I go through a BOTTLE of detangler every week, sometimes every 4-5 days depending upon what all is going on and how much I'm doing to my hair. Needless to say I needed a brush like this.
When I first got this brush it arrived not long after I woke up and hadn't yet brushed my hair, so it definitely got tested out. I had a slight bit of trouble at first because I'm used to brushes that have bristles that are all the same length and are a lot rougher. These bristles are different lengths so that your hair doesn't tangle. Once I finally got the feel of it I realized I was able to actually brush my bad bed head with hardly and problems.
The REAL test came after I took a shower and my hair was still damp. I can't blow dry my hair because it gets dried out and looks fried, but it HAS to get brushes immediately after I shower or else it turns into a massive rats nest. I'll admit it, I was scared. I sectioned out about 3-4in of hair to brush out in case it got stuck or my hair decided murder it like many others.. Surprisingly it went through with hardly any resistance. I sectioned out more and in no time I had all my super long and extremely thick DAMP hair completely brushed out and tangle free. If I had one complaint about this brush it would be that the handle is a bit small.. *I* personally am not complaining because I have small hands, but it just means I can't have someone else brush my hair because they have bigger hands.
