This is actually a really soft eye mask. It's really comfortable and you can even adjust it to fit your head which is a first I've seen for an eye mask like this. When you put it on it seems to "form" to your face which is pretty awesome. It blocks out the light so you can eliminate that distraction when trying to sleep and doesn't seem to move around on your face too much.
It also comes with a set of earplugs and the strap on the mask has a holder for the earplugs where you can put them when you're not using them. They block out background noise pretty good.. I don't live where it's extremely loud (like a super busy city), so I can't say how well they'd work in an extremely loud environment, but they work for me.
