This umbrella is gorgeous and awesome! The purple color is vibrant and the "flower" pattern is beautiful (at least *I* see a flower). When I saw that it was compact, I thought it was going to be one of those smaller sized umbrella's, but it's actually like a "normal" sized umbrella which is actually fine by me. It's still small enough to leave in your car or carry in your purse (well, depending on your purse). This umbrella has a button that you push to automatically open it which I really love. I hated the "push up" feature on regular umbrellas because I've pinched my fingers numerous times and now this umbrella will save my fingers. You can also push the button again to make it retract so you can once again save your fingers. Once it's retracted all you have to do is push the umbrella all the way down until it clicks and secure the strap and you're good to go.
