This is getting 4 stars for just a couple reasons. The #1 reason being the instructions say it comes with a suction cup to open the base of this. Well, there was no suction up in my box & I laughed & said "How messed up would it be if they actually put the suction cup INSIDE the nest cam box itself?". After getting a knife and prying the cam box open, I wasn't laughing when I looked inside & saw the suction cup sitting in there. How am I supposed to open something when you put the thing I'm supposed to open it with INSIDE the thing I'm supposed to open? The other reason was that when I opted in for this it did not specify that the camera was not included. I got this thinking it was a full on nanny cam with everything included & not just a "shell" (I also don't think I see anywhere on the description that explicitly states there's no camera involved).
Now to the review. It's a sleek looking "clock" & looks obscure enough where people wouldn't notice exactly what it is. I got this mainly just to keep an eye on my dogs when I'm not at home and to also make sure no one is coming into my home when I'm not there. Since this doesn't come with a camera I've now got to get one so I can properly test this out. I gave it a quick test with a cheap little camera & it worked, but it doesn't quite fit into the case. I'll edit my review once I get a proper camera for this.
